It is with saddened hearts and our deepest regrets that we must inform you that CleanInternet is going out of business. Please do not waste time in preparing for this unfortunate event to occur.

OUR MOST SINCERE APOLOGIZES!BEGINNING 06/10/2024. SEVERAL OF OUR VITAL SYSTEMS CRASHED AND BECAME UNACCESSIBLE, EVEN TO US. UNFORTUNATELY, THIS LED TO MANY CUSTOMERS LOOSING THEIR ABILITY TO ACCESS THE INTERNET AND THE UNINSTALL LINKS BROKE. IT ALSO LEFT US UNABLE TO ASSIST CUSTOMERS WITH THE PROBLEM. THESE SYSTEMS WILL BE PERMANENTLY OUT OF ORDER. HOWEVER, WE HAVE COME UP WITH A SOLUTION TO MANUALLY UNINSTALL THE OLD FILTER v13, WITHOUT THE NEED TO ACCESS THE INTERNET. ONCE THE OLD FILTER IS UNINSTALLED, YOU SHOULD REGAIN YOUR INTERNET ACCESS. WE HAVE ALSO CREATED NEW WORKING LINKS FOR BOTH FILTERS v13 AND v14. PLEASE FORGIVE US AS THIS UNFORTUNATE EVENT WAS OUT OF OUR CONTROL.

Regarding customer support. Since this situation occurred, there are now hundreds of customer support requests and only one support person. Please allow a reasonable amount of time to receive a reply. ALSO, PLEASE NOTE THAT SUPPORT CAN ONLY BE PROVIDED BY EMAIL AS THE PHONE SYSTEM HAS NOW GONE DOWN AS WELL. Additionally, please remember that emails may go to your spam folder. Again, it may take awhile to receive an email due to the current situation.

We strongly recommend that you have any important emails backed-up, copied, or transferred to another email address as quickly as possible. Once this is completed, it will be CRITICAL that you contact us at support@cleaninter.net to let us know so that we may close your account and stop the recurring invoices.

To export your contacts, please follow the instructions below.

1. At the top, click on Contacts

2. Click on Import/Export Contacts

3. Choose your Export destination

2. Click on More.

3. Click on Export to Zip

4. Open the Zip file in File Explorer

5. Click on the top check box to select all files

6. Click on Share

7. Choose Outlook

Once this is completed, please locate and follow the uninstall instructions below that pertain to your specific device(s). After the filter(s) is uninstalled, it will be CRITICAL that you contact us at support@cleaninter.net to let us know so that we may close your account and stop the recurring invoices. Please Note: if you do not uninstall the filter(s) before CleanInternet shuts down, it is possible that you could loose access to the Internet and the proper functioning of your device. Please do not ignore this warning!

Windows (Old) Filter v13 Uninstall

To uninstall the filter v13 WITHOUT an internet connection:

1. Go to the Start Menu and in the search bar, within the Start Menu, type Alsucio

2. Choose Open File Location

3. Right-click on the file named Alsucio and click Rename. (Be careful to not click delete)

4. Add a .exe at the end of the word so that it reads “alsucio.exe” and hit Enter on the keyboard

5. Then double-click the file

6. The computer will ask if you want to allow the program to make changes to your computer. Click Yes

7. The Clean Internet Uninstall Wizard will open in a separate window.

8. Enter the uninstall code and restart the computer

Android Filter Uninstall (you will no longer need a code to uninstall the filter)

1. Go to your phone’s settings.
2. Click on Apps.
3. Search for and click on either the Clean Browser or DNSFilter App (whichever one pertains to your device).
4. Click the ‘uninstall’ button.
5. Restart your phone

Mac Filter Uninstall

To uninstall the Mac Filter, open the Terminal App and enter this command: sudo sh /Applications/DNS Agent.app/Contents/Resources/uninstall.sh Then press Return to execute the command.

Here are the step-by-step instructions:

To open the Terminal App:

• In the Finder go to Applications > Utilities and double-click Terminal.
• Click the Launchpad icon in the Dock, type Terminal in the search field, then click Terminal.

Enter the command: sudo sh /Applications/DNS Agent.app/Contents/Resources/uninstall.sh Then press Return to execute the command.

After the command has finished executing, you can then type exit and press Return to close it or click Terminal > Quit Terminal.
